Classes Have Come...
Dear Friends,
I'm here at UP Mindanao's Interactive Learning Center in EBL Hall. I was just hopping through this GREAT facility in UP Min to explore and learn.
You've gotta try their Learning Objects available on their website http://ilc.upmin.edu.ph/
The Learning Objects fit for my course (and the college I'm into) are available here. They're great for my researching for our current lesson in Math.
Classes are here again, and not just the classes I was up to back in High School. It's now the complex and fun world of College. In addition, the subjects are just getting quite warm. They're still in the introduction stages.
On the first day of regular classes last Friday, I was really excited meeting our teachers and whatnot, my classmates I will meet. Let's go on what happened during the first meeting of all classes (including last Tuesday, at this time of posting.).
SSP 4 (Asia and the World): Our teacher is Sir Val Clamonte (correct me if I'm wrong.). He was a graduate of UP Min and now teaches here. We had a few upperclassmen on this class. Our first activity was making an imaginary map of Asia. It was really interesting. :-)
MST 1 (Natural Science 1): We first had the 1st part of this course - Chemistry. We just had a getting-to-know-each-other session. Computer Science and Applied Math studes are combined. Our teacher is Ma'am Imma Licayan in this phase.
MATH 17 (Pre-Calculus Mathematics: College Algebra and Trigonometry): Our teacher is Sir Riannel Tecson. He was glad to see us. :-) Since it was the First Day, we just had a introductory session on what the course will be. I am really excited to learn the subject. Anyways on the 2nd Day, we were introduced on Sets.
MST 3 (Math for General Education): Sir Joseph Belida is our teacher for this course. Our first activity was really fun. I can't remember well the mechanics but it was surely exciting. Com Sci and A-Math studes are also combined in this class.
PE 1 (Foundation of Physical Fitness): Sir Redner Palomaria is our teacher. We first had our physical fitness test by measuring our weight and height. (hmm...Body Mass Index...) I'm surely want to know more of this course.
AH 3 (Effective Speech Communication): Our teacher in this course is Ma'am Sheila Bulaong. We had upperclassmen here. We were taught about why people fear public speaking and how to train ourselves to be confident in speaking in front of groups of people. We had an interesting activity. We pick cards containing questions that lets out your inner wit. We all answered great. We were really happy and interested on this class. :-)
SSP 4 (Social, Economic and Political Thought): Our teacher here is Sir Raffy Sanchez. It's a quite serious class because it involves Philosophy and Social Issues. Here you've got to know how to resolve countless problems in the society and how to improve the government and other sectors of the society. It's a great class to let out your inner wisdom. Upperclassmen were there too and they were participative.
I cannot imagine how will I go with the flow of these subjects. It needs perseverance and wisdom to go through these challenges. Guidance from God will always get through our cherished goals.
God Bless You! Have a happy life!
KENNETH
