The Programmer's Prayer

Image
I got this from Ate Raissa and I found it nice to share. The Programmer's Prayer The Lord is my programmer, I shall not crash. He installed his software on the hard disk of my heart; all of His commands are user-friendly. His directory guides me to the right choices for His name's sake. Even though I scroll through the problems of life, I will fear no bugs, for He is my backup. His password protects me. He prepares a menu before me in the presence of my enemies. His help is only a keystroke away. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and my file will be merged with His and saved forever. Amen. Another Failure, Another Success

Image
I failed again. I failed in CS 130 (Logic Design and Digital Computer Circuits). I failed in a subject that would somehow define me of having knowledge in the insides of a computer. I failed the expectations of my family, my friends, my leaders, my loved ones, my colleagues. I failed to be a mature student. Never mind. This is another test. This was done. I've had it. People will become mad at me again. But I won't quit. I won't quit. I will not quit. KENNETH

José Rizal: A Third-World Hero

Image
Note: This post is based on my take-home examination in PI100: The Life and Works of Jose Rizal, a legislated course in UP. The class I was in was under Mr. Jessie G. Varquez Jr. Jose Rizal is regarded as the liberator of the Philippines, regarded as the proprietor of the Philippine Revolution, and revered as the Philippine's National Hero. However, as the world views the country as part of the “Third World” - countries that do not move at all with either capitalism or communism, countries that are regarded as “developing” due to social, economic and political problems - how could one Malayan man such as Rizal remove the bondage that the Spanish had took hold of them for three centuries? Did he truly heed to set the archipelago free? Could the Filipinos of today be discarding Rizal, revering another personality, serving him as their “hero”? Is he worthy to be a “National Hero”? The discussion in this writing takes insights mainly from two sources: the independent film, Bayaning

I am Smart and Curious

Image
You Are Smart and Curious You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life. You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip. People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. You tend to trave

I am Sensitive

Image
You Are Sensitive Of all the types, you are the most self-aware and intuitive. You truly get what is going on. You thrive when you are able to be as creative and imaginative as you want to be. You don't do well with limits. Some people may think that you're a bit moody or tormented, but you can't help but be very keyed in to the world around you. You do your best to live a unique and beautiful life. You are a bit self-absorbed, but then again, who isn't? The Scribble Circle Test Work is Hard. Time for Blogthings! KENNETH

Learning Is Fun

Image
Learning Is Fun from http://positivemen.blogspot.com/ How best can we do something to assist students who performed poorly in the public examinations? Every year we have students who fail to excel or score rather poorly in their public examinations. These students will not be able to get places in high school, matriculation, polytechnics or universities. Over the years, these weaker students has been neglected to deal with their own destiny; they have been left behind on their own to either help or hurt themselves. Not many have understood their struggles and frustrations. Not many have come to assist them to make ends meet or to be successful in life. Not many are willing to listen with patience their grievances and complaints. Some of them have eventually become social outcasts and marginalized people of our society. Lately, the Education Ministry is finding ways to assist them to obtain the necessary skills, to ensure that they could still continue wi

The LORD Delights in You

Image
Regarding Zion, I can't keep my mouth shut, regarding Jerusalem, I can't hold my tongue, Until her righteousness blazes down like the sun    and her salvation flames up like a torch. Foreign countries will see your righteousness,    and world leaders your glory. You'll get a brand-new name    straight from the mouth of God. You'll be a stunning crown in the palm of God's hand,    a jeweled gold cup held high in the hand of your God. No more will anyone call you Rejected,    and your country will no more be called Ruined. You'll be called Hephzibah (My Delight),    and your land Beulah (Married), Because God delights in you    and your land will be like a wedding celebration . For as a young man marries his virgin bride ,     so your builder marries you , And as a bridegroom is happy in his bride ,     so your God is happy with you . -Isaiah 62:1-5 (The Message) ASL celebrates delight in people who holds promises from the LORD. My Cups of JAVA

Image
Hello guys! It's been so long since I posted in this blog. I've been enjoying my Tumblr blog MyConstellation since I entered in the Tumblr-sphere. But I simply can't leave the blog I loved for almost 4 years. I'm now exploring the world of the Java programming language - its 3 editions: Standard Edition, Enterprise Edition & Micro Edition, the syntax that is almost related to C/C++, its many interesting packages, and the numerous programs... er ... classes and functions... er ... methods , found in the API documentations. With its feature of Exceptions, error trapping has been quite convenient for me since I could now trace the real error during runtime. Java is the topic of my first Computer Science elective subject I took - CMSC191. This subject caught my appreciation of using object-oriented programming as an approach to developing programs and the myriad of things you can do, where you can implement, and how you can apply it. Every cup of Java was del
