Summer is About to Be Over...

Image
Hi guys! I wanna reach my 100th post pronto!!! >:-) Summer is about to be over! Maybe I'll suggest Ate Tina could revise her header message as... "Schooltime Guys! Summer is out...the rain is pouring..." :-p As I said in my last post, I went to Mati, Davao Oriental last weekend to experience a great rural encounter with my co-members of the Porio Clan . They were so fun and funny... (can you tell the difference?) The physical feature of the Porios? Well, medium to dark complexion, medium stature, a broad nose...et cetera The disposition of the Porios? Umm...joyful, loves to care for others, keeps their selves in the midst of poverty, etc. Social status? Most of them were successful entrepreneurs, businessmen. But generally middle-class. :-) Anyways, in the midst of all odds, the Porio clan will never be broken, we will still be a happy FAMILY !!! :-D After the reunion, and the tiring journey back to Davao, I realised that I got ' super ' tanned by the sun

Happy Anniversary!!!

Hello there, folks! My blog is in its FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! It's been quite a while after I posted great entries... :-) I know...things should be great... :-) People love my blog. My blog loved them too. :-) Anyways, I visited Mati, Davao Oriental last weekend to attend the Porio Clan Family Reunion. I was with my father and my younger sister. The trip in and out Mati was the most exciting part of the visit. You pass through zigzag roads and venture through RURAL ENVIRONS . :-) I love to see the Davao Gulf and the Pujada Bay through the zizzag coastal highways. The trip itself was so BREATHTAKING! There we went into Mati proper and see the still-rural flavour of that centre of the town. (But except that it now has Jollibee in it.) There we proceeded to the beach resort we headed to. (see the pics at http://stellarboy.multiply.com/ ) That's just it muna , folks. I have to make preparations for my moving to the UP Mindanao Elias B. Lopez Hall Dorm. You know what, this will be the

Image
(poster pic from http://www.themovieblog.com/ ) Directed by: Sam Raimi Starring: Tobey Maguire, Kristen Dunst, James Franco I'm back with another edition of SEE-LIP ! Featuring now is Spider-Man 3. The highly-anticipated final chapter of the popular Spider-Man trilogy sees Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) & Mary Jane Watson (Kristen Dunst) finally together, but three new enemies, the Sandman, Venom, and Spidey's 'old' enemy, the New Goblin, which is his best friend, Harry Osborn, threatens the lives of people close to Peter. The tagline: The greatest battle lies...within. From Ate Tina's Espresso Break : "There is this mysterious black substance from another world that would bring out the black side of a person found its way to Peter Parker’s apartment. It transformed his red/blue original Spidey outfit into a black one and also his dark personality came to view. The black suit makes you feel good, but you would lose yourself in it... ...It’s great, got me t

Hello There!

Dear friends, Welcome to the New Stellar Life Blog! I am so happy to see you! It has been a long time since I have made this lively blog. I would never forget how it was when it was just a plain new blog. :-) Now, I have lived into blogging. :-) Sobra, I just can't explain the feeling. I chose the TicTac layout because I was just awe-inspired by the 'new' super-modern design of the reformulated Palmolive Naturals shampoo. It looks so stunning. Wala lang. :-p Since I only have limited time, I'll tell you more stories when I come back, ok? KENNETH P.S. Thanks for supporting my blog, MyBlogLog readers!

I just wanna say that the Stellar Blog Anniversary is about to be near... so, DON'T MISS IT! Lots of surprises await... (Note: You should know that the blog entries you see here are also seen in My Galaxy , my Multiply site.) I just acquired one of the books I may need in my college course. The book is entitled Creating Cool Web Pages with HTML by Dave Taylor. I am just curious how are the links inside of it look like now, because the book was published way back year 1995. Click these links to test... 1. http://www.yahoo.com/ (obviously, it's Yahoo!, a search engine) 2. http://lycos.cs.cmu.edu/ (that's Lycos, another search engine. Never joined their service yet.) 3. http://www.hotwired.com/login/index.html (that's Hotwired search engine) 4. http://www.greenpeace.org/ (that's Greenpeace International's website) 5. http://www.well.com/ (that's The WeLL, an online community) 6. http://www.whitehouse.gov/ (that's the US White House) 7. http://www.ncs

Flashback...

Image
Ate Tina had her post about the history of her blog . Now, I wanna share to you mine. When I was just finished in my 3rd Year in High School, I came across a tv show plug with their site with the URL that caught my curiosity, which was obviously ".blogspot.com" There came into my mind to go to the Internet café to check my e-mails. There I checked my e-mail accounts. They were fine, except for those stupid spam. There I typed the address www.blogspot.com and there it went to Blogger. I went through their tour. They say that Blogger can help 'express thoughts and feelings' by making a 'blog', a personal site. There I thought, what if I can make it out of my 'scrapbook' I made during my 3rd year. There I thought of a name including of the adjective "stellar", which meant 'related to the stars', and was the name of my scrapbook. This came to the first name of this blog, A Stellar Life. (which I will change back to this name after this

A Complex Life...

Image
Dearie friends, In the last two days, (last Thursday & Friday, at this time of posting) I was in University of the Philippines in Mindanao to join the Freshmen Orientation Program. As we all know, orientations makes us introduced to the life we will soon enter: what to and what not to do, who to contact when problems or queries arise, where to go during classes and how to cope up with UP life. Being an "Iskolar ng Bayan" (a label for UP students) means that the government subsidises a part of the funds for the University expenses from the good and responsible taxpayers of the country. But carrying this label needs a lot of perseverance and a sense of dignity to achieve the EXCELLENCE that the University wants for its students. We were introduced with a lot of things to remember, namely: -The Office of Student Affairs: the one that caters to the needs of students: counselling, testing, health services, housing through the Elias B. Lopez Hall, etc. (If you weren't a st

REGISTERED

University of the Philippines in Mindanao , here I come! Last Tuesday, at this time of posting, I have been called REGISTERED after the long process of registering to this LARGE institiution. I got a Friendster message from Ate Jade Hazel Gamas , one of my Alma Mater's alumni. Here it is: I heard that your enrollment will be this coming tuesday...I may see you there because I'm taking advance summer classes. first tip for tuesday: make friends - if you can have more than two, that will be very helpful...they will be your companions during the day. Even if incoming first years bring their parents with them, parents are discouraged to do the stuff needed during the day. You will do all the stuff, like line up for PE class enlistment and of course, paying in the cashier. IN UP, YOU LEARN AND LIVE ALL BY YOURSELF. second tip: follow instructions: there will be a sheet of paper given to you ahead of time, that contains the process you need to undergo. Read it carefully so that you

I Miss Having Our OWN Computer

Image
When we still have our computer way back my childhood, I used to play on it a lot. Yes, I was really a computer geek: making commands in MS-DOS/Command Prompt (Yes, I learned to use MS-DOS when I was just 3-1/2 years old!), making weird PowerPoint Presentations , and play games . Me and my other siblings all go loco whenever my dad used to tell the password/access code to the computer so we can play. But all was gone when our computer got 'fried' and became 'obsolete'. I truly miss having our OWN computer because being here in the Internet café is already time-wasting , energy-consuming , and money-trashing . Yes, I admit to that now. But I still wanna go here because Net connections are too 'wasting' in our parents' part too. I'm currently editing my Multiply site and uploading photos from my cellphone through MMS e-mail. I'm glad that my batchmates and schoolmates readily accepted my invite to join as my contacts. :-) Also, I am reading through

HALLELUJAH!

This was the reply e-mail from Uche & Lola Aneke from House of Virtue from my e-mail I sent about myself. I was TRULY INSPIRED on what they have sent. Read on to believe... :-) Dear Kenneth, Thanks for your email, we are so sorry we couldn't reply you immediately due to our very tight schedule. However, we've been praying for you. Now we've extracted some of God's promises from the Bible concerning "You" so that you may understand exactly how God (your Father in Heaven ) feels about you. The reason is that when you understand how God feels about you then your life will change. Please read and give God thanks for your true identity in Christ: Kenneth Bernejay Porio's Identity In Christ: John 1:12 Kenneth is God's son. But Kenneth received Him, and to Kenneth He gave the right to become God's son , because Kenneth believes in His name. John 15:5 Kenneth is a part of the true vine, and a channel of Christ's life. I am the vine. Kennet

SEE-LIP: Maria Flordeluna

Image
(logo image from http://mariaflordeluna.blogspot.com ) Directed by: Jerry Lopez Sineneng Starring: Eliza Pineda, Nash Aguas, Albert Martinez, Eula Valdez Before I could explain, I think my last post was just about it; plans don't come in a snap, in my case. :-) A story of a young girl, Maria Flordeluna, that captivated the hearts of the Cebuanos in the '70s. She is a meek and kind-hearted girl who loses her mother at a young age. Her life changes drastically. Her father decides to marry his old girlfriend. The little girl and her brother find themselves trying to get along with their new family—stepmom, stepsister, and a stepgrandmother. Things take a turn for the worse when the little girl's new family starts maltreating her. Based on a radio drama, which made into a mini-TV drama on RPN-9, it is now re-serialised for TV on ABS-CBN, aired during their primetime block, Primetime Bida. YES, things got worse... and WEIRD! Whenever the step-grandma (Brigida, Liza Lorena) or
