On the Eve of My Birthday...

Image
Dear friends, Today's the eve of my 16th birthday. I am very excited of the people who will greet me on this special event of my life. :-) A while ago, we joined in the whole UP Mindanao community and the 11th RCPG in planting trees to make a natural perimeter fencing of the UP Min campus. This is also to help preserve the natural resources in the area. A contract will be produced, to be given to each one of us people of the UP Min community, to prove that we will take care of the saplings and make these last for many generations of iskolar ng bayan to come. ~*~ At MATH17 class, Ma'am May Anne Mata discussed about our 2nd Problem Set, which was about Polynomials. Many were quite confused but then understood more after Ma'am Mayang taught more of the lesson. :-) Our 2nd Long Examination will be on Tuesday. Note: I Googled her and found her super-cool Friendster account (nyahahaha) , her news about being Cum Laude in UP Min, etc. Check it out, yo! B-) ~*~ At SSP4 class, S

HOW AM I?

Image
Dear friends, I Googled myself in the Net and saw several hits. First came in Google was this blog . I can't imagine that! Next came my Friendster account. The hits that followed were about my replies in blog posts. :-) Actually, the one that amazed me most is the countries that visited my blog. The one that topped were, of course, the Philippines. Next to our country is the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canda, and Macedonia(?!) (oooh...even bloggers in this country are fond of my blog.) :-)). I thank the people reading my blog all over the world. You are really the best! Let's not forget to thank our Pinoy kababayan s too. Tangkilikin natin ang sariling atin! I want to appreciately thank this guy, Mr. Renz Bulseco , a 1st Year BS Biology student in UP Min, who appreciated my posts. Thank you very much, Renz! I love your blog! Thanks to April too, for greeting me for my birthday on Friday. ~*~ More wishes... 3. To learn more of myself to improve it and to share w

Something To Wish About...

Image
Hmmm.... I want simple wishes on my 16th birthday... 1. To survive UP life (and the BS Computer Science) in this first year (especially on the first semester). 2. Meet MORE friends, not only in social networks, but with the PERSONAL network. That's all for today. More wishes tomorrow. ~*~ The CompSci upperclassmen agreed with us that we will have our Acquaintance Party on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Mer Grande Ocean Resort. We paid the amount of fees for the food, entrance for the whole-day event. I hope the event will make me connect more with the whole CompSci family. ~*~ I saw my batchmate April Garcia's newest Blogger blog, entitled " and when it rains ". The layout's really beautiful, like her. :-D I commented on her CBox. I hope she will comment, too. ~*~ UP Mindanao is so into me right now, so, I put a picture of the UP Min Oblation statue in front of the Administration Building as the header photo. :-) UP legacy lives on... So, see you in the next po

MY BIRTHDAY IS DAYS AWAY! Another birthday will come...and it will be mine. Another time to celebrate. Another time to enjoy. Another time to thank. Another time to express. Another time to share. Another time to have a new life. It's just another birthday on the 29th of June. ~*~ Last Friday, I sniffled on the ending of Maria Flordeluna . I just can't believe that it ended with the death of Flor. :'-( Here's the episode guide of that final, 92nd episode from ABS-CBN.com : Mamita gets shot, and tells Jo and Flor to run and leave her behind, as she will only keep them. As such, the two are left with no choice but to run, but they end up getting cornered by Retired General torres and held at gunpoint! However, Reneboy and Wilma, along with Leo, arrive just in time for a confrontation! Gary also arrives at the scene, and gunshots are exchanged between Gary and Torres! The two end up with wounds, and fall on the ground, and Leo runs to secure his whole family! Mamita als

BLAZING on that Summer Solstice...

Image
Hello friends! It was another day and night of school life... Yesterday, at this time of posting, we prepared for the Torch Night '07. Our CompSci mates were so much busy about studies that we are almost not prepared for the event, literally. I finally found my binder notebook through Karen San Pablo (my CompSci mate) through a habal-habal driver. I don't know if he found it on the road, and how did he know CompSci freshies like Karen and me. Thank God for that habal-habal driver. :-) I can finally take more notes and study. ;-) That evening, we crammed a lot on our performance before the Torch Night. Everyone was truly prepared except us, who were so busy about studies. <:-( Last-minute preparations were the only thing we can do. During the Torch Night, a non-academic event in UP Min, there were music, dance, parlour games, deafening screams, and the smell of food (and tobacco *sighs*) from all the 'Greek-lettered' (plus Latagaw-Lamdag :-\) society's booths.

LOADED on Summer Solstice...

Image
Dear Friends, I'm still live and alive here in ILC-UP Min. Today is the Summer Solstice, where days are longer and nights are shorter. Yesterday, I had a bad day because I lost my binder notebook. I REALLY need my notes for the 'unexpected' things that will happen next (especially today...). I'll just furnish another notebook and copy notes when it will never be found. (People aren't honest here.) Anyways, we had the First Long Examination in MATH 17. The test was quite complicated. I hope, however, that I can pass this exam. :-) Tonight will be the Torch Night of UP in Mindanao. Our ComSci group has to cram on our performance because we just started practicing last Tuesday. Things will get heavier this time. Things will get HOTTER by the minute. Life is about to become undisputedly fast . Good luck to us! Have a nice day. KENNETH

Asking...

Image
Hello there! It's another week of learning in UP in Mindanao, but it will be tomorrow. I asked this question in Yahoo! Answers six months ago. Now I need the voice of the Blogger people to answer this: Are you in favour of abolishing Traditional Chinese? Chinese is the language with the most number of speakers. It has a unified writing system, whatever dialect you are speaking, Mandarin, Min, Cantonese, etc. China has made efforts to simplify the methods of learning this "complicated" language. It simplified the characters that were "complicated" to write. It made a new romanization system, HanYu PinYin to make the foreigners "recognize the pronunciation of Mandarin easier". But on the other side of it, Traditional Chinese, practiced in Taiwan, has been recognized as the most important aspect in Chinese learning. They still write the actual characters. They still practice the original phonetic symbols, ZhuYin FuHao. They don't sup

Dear guys, I'm back, live at ILC-UP Min. To inform you, the computer fees here are added to my accountables in the next semester. But I can try to pay the fees I have week in advance. (University policy) :-) I am currently checking my accounts. There were invites in my Friendster, Multiply, and MyBlogLog, comments in this blog, et cetera. I am also finding the things about Balance and Speed in Physical Fitness, and exercises and/or fitness tests regaing Balance and Speed, for our report in PE 1, but I can't find it on Google. I will be researching in later time for my SSP & MST subjects. :-( Anyways, I may come back in CdSI this weekend and I could search for those PE book we have in CdSI's library, or as we call it, the Instructional Materials Center (IMC). Our bloc in ComSci has to change matriculation because we merged sections with the other bloc in the same course as we do. It was due to our former instructor, Sir Riannel Tecson, who has a subject made for him rece

Classes Have Come...

Image
Dear Friends, Schooling days are here again, The classrooms are up here again, The books around are here again, Schooling days are here again! I'm here at UP Mindanao's Interactive Learning Center in EBL Hall. I was just hopping through this GREAT facility in UP Min to explore and learn. You've gotta try their Learning Objects available on their website http://ilc.upmin.edu.ph/ The Learning Objects fit for my course (and the college I'm into) are available here . They're great for my researching for our current lesson in Math. Classes are here again, and not just the classes I was up to back in High School. It's now the complex and fun world of College. In addition, the subjects are just getting quite warm. They're still in the introduction stages. On the first day of regular classes last Friday, I was really excited meeting our teachers and whatnot, my classmates I will meet. Let's go on what happened during the first meeting of all classes (inclu

First Impressions...

Hi Friends! I'm glad that lots of net traffic are coming to my blog! Thanks! At last, I'm back to my suki Internet café here in Buhangin. I just came back yesterday from a stressful day of classes in UP in Mindanao. I am so fed up with the countless 'bad vibes' that one will encounter UP. During the First Bloc Encounter on the Opening Program of UP last Thursday, June 7th, the Beta Sigma Fraternity & the Sigma Beta Sorority gave freshmen a Freshman Survival Guide. Here's the cover... The speech balloon on the man on the left states: "HELLO FRESH MEAT - OH, I MEAN FRESHMAN! I'M YOUR UPPERCLASS MAN!" The speech balloon on the man on the right states: "TIME FOR CLASS BOY!" A quite scary impression of a survival guide. (*sighs* and shakes head) Let me quote the messages that the Grand Princep and the Most Idyllic Sister of the said fraternities and sororities have to say: "...as days and months pass by, I'm sure that you wil

POST NO. 100!: Hoping for A Great Start...

Hello there! This is the one-hundreth post of this blog! I'm now here in an internet café in dowtown Davao because my batchmates are here together with me to have some kalingawan . :-) I am super excited about the opening day of UP Mindanao tomorrow. Classes are about to start. But I am still a bit scared because of the new life I will face. I know that BIG challenges are up for grabs, but I know that God will guide me through this. I moved to UP Mindanao's Elias B. Lopez Hall Dormitory yesterday, and I felt the big challenge in front of me, how to cope up with the difficulties of living in this dormitory. I just experienced the 'water shortage' (The dorm's water supply is limited.) I was forced to take a bath using just the little water from my own pail and rinsing little by little, without wasting more than half of my water from the pail. The rooms are not that cozy, but it is still very OK to study and sleep there. (I brought my Chinese books with me so I may sha
