In the confinements of home For quite some time, I am trying to cope with the changes coming my way as I transition from teacher to trainer and freelancer. As the "summer" term comes in the way for our school, only a number of teachers will be given a teaching load, and I am one of those teachers who won't be given load this year. As such, I will have to make do with this time to not only earn money but continue learning. I have been contemplating on making freelancing my priority career path in the next few months. I want to see if freelancing indeed works for me compared to my full-time teaching. Why? With the COVID-19 situation still lingering, I am very confident that working from home will be the norm, and I feel that with the circumstances I have, my career as an educator will not be sustainable in the long run. Hi there! I'm at the UPMin IT Kiosk which is now open on Saturday mornings. ( WHAT?!) Yes, I'm still at UP Mindanao and we will be having our PE2 BT class every Saturday, 3:00-5:00 pm. That's from a quite-late 5:30-6:30 pm schedule every Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am about homesick and worried that this "terror sked" from 7:00 am, Monday to 5:00, pm Saturday will turn me to "True Dormer mode", i.e. I will have to do the laundry at the EBL Dorm and be budget-conscious with the meager allowance I receive. :-( But well, if it's for the sake of my academic life, I'll do my best to prove myself worthy. Hello there! I'm still contemplating on what I did in the past examinations: I passed the STAT1 First Long Exam but I scored somewhere on the modal score in the distribution of all scores of STAT1 students in this exam. I passed the CMSC21 First Long Exam and I was part of the Top 10. (Yey!) It's not that easy to trace program codes! I failed the CMSC57 First Long Exam and I am still trying to cope up to pass with the next examination involving Probability and Recurrence Relations I'm doing it hard to pass the MATH27 First Long Exam this Monday. Practice those derivatives and integrals of transcendental functions! I was just wondering if I did the right thing in drawing vectors in our PHYS3 Lab Exam... Friends, What's new? What's hot? What's not? What's in today? Dorm Life = Fun Last Monday, we had our Dormitory Acquaintance Party. Even in the rainy atmosphere, we still had a lot of fun being with the people of the EBL Dorm. We made some noise from all those karaoke singing (I am one of those "good singers".), parlour game playing, and chit-chatting all night long. Our dinner together was really sumptuous. (wow, ha !) This is the continuation of the School is Back...Back to School (Part 1). The Fresh New Look of the UP Min Admin Building After several months of tiling here, repairing there and painting everywhere, the new façade of the UP Mindanao Administration Building. From the dull-looking, grayish-and-rustic looking edifice that looks like a deserted factory, the Admin Building now really is a decent building for a constituent of the prestigious National University . I may be happy and glad that the UP Administrators had put up with this beautification of the campus. I wonder if they will do quick wonders to the Kanluran (CSM) Building in the future, too.
