I Am Somewhat Machiavellian

Image
You Are Somewhat Machiavellian You're not going to mow over everyone to get ahead... But you're also powerful enough to make things happen for yourself. You understand how the world works, even when it's an ugly place. You just don't get ugly yourself - unless you have to! How Machiavellian Are You? The Percentage of Change

Image
From About.com: Mathematics : Let's say you weighed 180 pounds and lost 30 pounds and wondered what percent of your body weight you lost. Or let's say you saw a great sale for 25% off and want to quickly calculate it, this mini tutorial shows you how. Not only that, learn some quick estimation skills and do the percentage in your head on the fly! Finding the percent of change is using the ratio of the amount of change to the original amount. The increased amount is really the percent of increase. If the amount decreases then the percent of the change is the percent of the decrease which will be a negative. The first question to ask yourself when finding the percent of change is: Is it an increase or a decrease? Let's try a problem: 175 to 200 -- We have an increase of 25 and subtracted to find out the amount of change. Next, we will divide the amount of change by our original amount. 25 ÷ 200 = 0.125 Now we need to change the decimal to a percent by multiplying 1.125 by 100

What's Your Name's Hidden Meaning?

Image
What Kenneth Bernejay Means You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life. You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip. People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. You tend to travel often, to fairly random location

It's Been A Year Since Graduation Day

Image
Dear friends, I want to share to you some convictions. GOODBYE HIGH SCHOOL...HELLO COLLEGE! Now that we're a bit older, Perhaps even a bit wiser; We see all our sorrows drift away, Because today's Graduation Day... ...We don't have to let each other go, We just have to let each other know, That change may pull us away But love will always make us stay. It has been more than a year since March 25, 2007 , that day that our High School batch in Colegio de San Ignacio , fondly called "KeVinas" (named after Teacher Kenneth Razo and Teacher Vines Bautista), ended the High School life, and days later, started to build the newest chapter - the College level. It was Graduation Day . Singing the song "The Graduation Song", composed by Duane Gravador and Gabrielle delos Santos, inspired me most to go on...but still I should remember where I came from. What A Day...

Image
Dear friends: I have achieved these for past 3 days: Submitted my COMPLETE STFAP Application Form with attached documents. (Waaah!) After all those intricate documents I have to file for this Socialized Tuition and Financial Assistance Program...it's all done. Did Mama's banking errands. You know what I mean... :-/ Deposited an amount of money in my Savings Account in one of the multi-purpose cooperatives my Mama is in. By 18 (that's two years from now), I may be a member of the coop if I meet the minimum quota in my savings account... (I hope so.) Visited Colegio de San Ignacio and made a quick conversation with Teacher Divine and Teacher Kenneth, and talked about how's it going in CDSI and with my batchmates. The Chinese teachers Siu Eng Siensi and Theng-Theng Siensi were out for this week to attend some businesses, but they will be back in a few weeks' time to do Summer Enrichment classes. The Yearbook Staff was there too to do their paperworks for this year&#

The Buzz on HCDC

I may not be a student of Holy Cross of Davao College, High School Department (where my brother is studying) but I share their sentiments about the ZTE Broadband Deal Controversy. This is an article from their student publication The Cross , Volume XXVIII, No. 2, SY 2007-2008. The article is in Cebuano, so only those people who could understand this dialect could understand. Nga, gihatagan kini ug luna sa The Cross. (*For security purposes in this blog, the students' commentaries are kept anonymous.) Samok kaayo. Kurakot jud sila, hatagan unta ug hustisya. Mapahawa unta si Gloria! Tanggalan na pud sa pwesto ang mga kurakot. Lisod man panigan kay
