Finally, the mobile PC I've been longing for has arrived. I've been longing for something I can bring and compute on the go. I needed for something I can be productive with anywhere I go. And there were lots of features I desired for . I've been interested in the world of netbooks and other ultra-portable PCs. They had the most decent of features that makes computing more personal and meaningful. And with the rising trend of these lilliputians comes a competition: tablet PCs , set to become a trending craze this 2011. But I doubt the tablet PC will become a trend when it comes to practical computing: word processing, presentations, data analysis, and software development. The year 2007 was the start of the era of netbooks , small, lightweight and inexpensive laptops that Intel says were meant to be "designed for wireless communication and access to the Internet." But given its form factor, which is too much similar to a traditional laptop: flip-top clamshell look, LCD or LED screens, small keyboard, touchpad as a mouse (with one or two exceptions), running on batteries - it is meant to be a computer on the go. Lilliputian laptop or gigantic touchscreen? Desktop OS or Touch-panel OS? Windows or Ubuntu or Android or iOS? WHAT'S YOUR SAY? The tablet (or slate or touchscreen) PC, also known as a mobile Internet device (MID), is a computer which has functions that enable users to consume media content. The Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, and many other devices out there sport all screen, without the keyboard or mouse, and a few ports for accesories. Its interface is touch-based, which can make reading e-books, playing games, watching videos or Internet surfing easy, although typing or spreadsheet creation will be quite cumbersome. Tablets are more of content consumption . The netbook (or sub-notebook or mini-laptop) is a smaller, more lightweight version of the traditional laptop. Admit it. You're a freak. You would like to stay awake all day finishing Half-Life and Half-Life 2 which are filled with monstrosities. Especially headcrab zombies . You desire to kill each and everyone of these infested humans with those weird-looking spider-like creatures attached to their heads. And you would wonder why they mutate with the following attributes: Hands that turn into long claws Shuffling gait Rotten smell that flies get into them (and you usually hear them buzzing in HL2 ) Bloody clothes Screams of pain  And an open torso, exposing their precious lungs.
