It's Been A Year Since Graduation Day

Dear friends,

I want to share to you some convictions.

GOODBYE HIGH SCHOOL...HELLO COLLEGE!

Now that we're a bit older,
Perhaps even a bit wiser;
We see all our sorrows drift away,
Because today's Graduation Day...

...We don't have to let each other go,
We just have to let each other know,
That change may pull us away
But love will always make us stay.

It has been more than a year since March 25, 2007, that day that our High School batch in Colegio de San Ignacio, fondly called "KeVinas" (named after Teacher Kenneth Razo and Teacher Vines Bautista), ended the High School life, and days later, started to build the newest chapter - the College level. It was Graduation Day.

Singing the song "The Graduation Song", composed by Duane Gravador and Gabrielle delos Santos, inspired me most to go on...but still I should remember where I came from.

...are just proofs that I can do it. But what about in the University of the Philippines Mindanao?

THAT VACATION

What's a great vacation at the LaRous Resort in Talomo without those batchmates enjoying their "Last Time Together"?

I was enjoying that nice two days that we ate together, sang videoke together, swam in the swimming pool and in the sea together like no-one's watching, enjoying the summer sun while we can, had our nice conversations... et cetera. Those last times together sure made me think that...

"Why did I waste my time wrecking myself up to some nonsense temper flings?"

CONTRASTING IMAGES

March 2007: I spent my last time being with these (annoying) boys in CDSI. We were on our way to LaRous for our Batch Outing.

L-R: Me, Mechael, George, Leonel.

Three months later...

June 2007 : I met these Komsai peeps in U.P. Mindanao (who are really nice and approachable, by the way). We were on our way to Mer Grande for our Acquaintance Party of the Computer Science program.

L-R: Ed Ralph, Mayeth, Prema, Me, Lauren, Ross.

March 2007: The St. Augustine classroom became empty. I had already left there.

Three months later...

June 2007 : This room became filled with my classmates in MATH17, the major subject that will depict our journey as BSCS Studes in UP Min.

Contrasting, isn't it? The last time with CDSI batchmates then followed with my first time with UP Min schoolmates.

Why College became far more exciting for me than High School was? Many thoughts fill my mind right now. I haven't thought of a concrete answer.

Maybe someone out there may give me an insight about me in CDSI and in UP Min. I hope so.

KENNETH
