Reflection: How's My Relationship to Jesus Now?

Here's a poem I made during a CLE reflection activity last October 12, 2006. The task was to make something connection to the statement above. Here goes:

HESUS
My relationship with Him
is losing bliss
For I lost the eagerness
to listen to His word
But my belief strengthens
for I am inspired
for those instruments
that deepened my contact to Him.
My prayers become worthwile
for I am still enlightened
by His love
and His eternal grace
I've established a relationship
through persons
who gave me the key
to the gate that led me to the Light
But how should I continue?
This life is losing vitality
How should I look up?
Darkness envelopes the Light now.
Confusions and anxieties
I should conquer
Confrontations and hatred,
I should resolve
As I enter another chapter
in this life of mine
I should remember
who guided me to the Saviour
Hesus, I should continue
continue to be with you
till the day of
my time to join the souls above.
AMEN

Many Roman Catholics become fanatic about statues of the Virgin Mary whenever one of them showed signs of "crying" or "weeping". Mary statues which bears some sort of "tears" of "water" or even "blood" make some very, very scared about what is happening. Many would say this sign indicates that the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, is "crying for the people of the earth" because of their "sins." She "cries bitterly" because mankind has not been kind to God. Skeptic scientists would refute this reason and point out that it is just some degradation of the material used in constructing these images of the Blessed Virgin. They say that the resins that bind the image's eyes were just naturally weathered. Or some would point to some water source that dripped into these statues. Philippine Azkals: The Accents (2)

This is Part 2 of a series of posts about the Philippine Azkals' accents. Click here to go to my 1st post. Hello there, Azkaleros! Well, my previous post talked about the accents of some prominent members of the Philippine Azkals, the men's national football team. Last time we talked about Aly Borromeo 's accent that's like a mix of Californian, Hispanic and Bisaya . We appreciated the ruff-and-tuff Southeastern American accent of Jason Sabio . We are tickled by the quirky Sussex accent of Simon Greatwich . And we do love the almost-Oxford-standard accent of Rob Gier . Now let's get into another set of players. First up, the prime goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, the 21 year-old lad from London. Now, let's go back to that video starring him in 2008 (We'll observe, too, the other person interviewed here.)
