Piclyf: Another Social Craze to Watch For

Hey there!

After I attended the Mindanao Conference for I.T. Students 2010 last 03 December 2010 at the University of the Immaculate Conception - Bankerohan (happy fiesta!), I was briefed with what I will expect to get into after I finish my studies in my chosen degree program.

Interestingly, I had the opportunity to use a social software that was shared by one of the speakers of the event. Eric Su, co-founder of the company that makes this particular service, shared to us about what do we have to do to ensure our survival as we pursue our careers.

While doing that, he plugged-in the social service he is proud having - PicLyf. It's a photo-sharing service which lets you share, tag, and note photos and distribute it to social networking and blogging platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Plurk, Blogger and Wordpress.

The home page tells you their strategy directly: It's fun, It's fast, It's better. While many social services say so, people can't tell the difference between fast and fun. PicLyf ensures connectivity between many services you usually use and it does that in a few steps, which is indeed fast and fun.

The Dashboard interface itself maybe cluttered, but it gives you an urge to follow people.
The Dashboard gives you updates of users of PicLyf and what photos they have been sharing. Although it looks cluttered, it gives you urges to see more of those pictures, and what stories they are telling in these.

The Editor is very useful, since it lets you do four choices: upload a photo, take a webcam shot, link a photo's URL or (behold) doodle! You can doodle scribbles to bring out the kid in you.

When the photo is posted, people can comment, share on Facebook, Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon and e-mail. This is one way to ensure you get followed.

Users from the Univesity of Southeastern Philippines have been booming after Eric shared this at a seminar held there, and hopefully after the MCITS, many others (including me from UP Mindanao) will use this service too.

Hey, won't you try PicLyf? Go to www.piclyf.com to explore and have fun!

This is one social craze that people should not miss! Check it out today!
