New things to enjoy.

Otaku for the OS-tan

Hello! I've been having an interest in OS-tans , a Japanese meme which depicts personifications of operating systems, especially in the Windows family. While I'm not an otaku for Japanese anime culture, I got the interest of OS-tans because I am learning the Japanese language, and I am sick of being bored yet in love for my customized Windows XP SP3. So I searched for something interesting about Windows, and I came across a OS-tan of Windows 7. So I studied and came across a collection of OS-tans from the Windows family, to the Apple line, and to the Linux distributions. See the collection here . The Special Problem

Next year, I'll be finally starting my undergraduate Special Problem, or simply "S.P.", an equivalent to the Thesis or Dissertation in my degree program here in UP Mindanao. Here I'll be thinking of a project that must  contribute a large part of the society around me. Here's a repost of Sir Loy Torres ' blog post about his experience being one of the judges of the best SP in the year 2009. He has always commended UPMin students as producing the most number of passers in the PhilNITS FE examination here in Davao. The first passer from Davao was Ate Raissa Yu in AY 2007-2008. I have always had a high regard for University of the Philippines ' (UP) students and UP graduates, as I believe they have one of the best curriculum, professors and students amongst the universities here in the Philippines. Welcome Back Myself

Hi, everyone! I’ve been back in Davao since the end of December 2025, after living in Cebu for about 4 years. The past four months have been difficult. I resigned from being a teacher in UP Cebu late last year. I was so difficult to sink in, even today, that I made that decision. Bad experiences, bad decisions, and bad relationships here and there led up to that conclusion that this teaching career was not for me. I was diagnosed last year with mental health issues, which was alongside my diagnosis of type-2 diabetes and hypertension since 2023. Today, I have been regularly on a cocktail of medications that I take every single day. With that, along with the costs of migrating back home, having to spend for medicines totally drained my savings. Yes, while I'm not deep in debt, I am literally broke. I’ve been looking for work, trying to figure things out, and dealing with a lot of uncertainty. I did land a role with a startup, and I’m grateful for that, but I’m also thinking seriousl...
